The Ministry of Energy and Mines (MINEM) reports that mining investments accumulated in the first half of 2022 amount to US $ 2,342 million, which means an increase of 10.9% compared to the same period of 2021 (US $ 2,112 million), according to figures from the Mining Statistical Bulletin (BEM), prepared by the General Directorate of Mining Promotion and Sustainability.
Meanwhile, in June of this year, mining investments reached US $ 455 million, reflecting an increase of 16.1% compared to what was registered the previous month (US $ 444 million), achieving an increase of 8.4% in reference to what was reported in the same month of 2021 (US $ 427 million).
